Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - I Left My Heart In Highgate Hill (Pt.2)

Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents I Left my Heart in Highgate Hill (Pt. 2). The Sean Sennett Seven make their return to Brisbane City Hall with their celebrated production I Left My Heart in Highgate Hill. The contemporary song cycle showcases some of Brisbane’s finest voices, including core vocalists Rachael Dixon, Charlotte Emily and Megan Cooper, alongside a stellar five-piece band and special guests. Featuring a mix of original songs and select covers, I Left My Heart in Highgate Hill has previously played to sold-out audiences at the Brisbane Festival and Woodford Folk Festival. The show captures the soul of the city through stories of love, place and belonging. The performance also includes material co-written by Sean Sennett with Kate Ceberano and Steve Kilbey, drawn from their acclaimed collaborative album The Dangerous Age. I Left My Heart In Highgate Hill is a love letter to Brisbane - told through song, story and heart. This Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert is produced by Anje West.

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Brisbane City Hall organ recital - Andrej Kouznetsov

Andrej Kouznetsov studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Philip Swanton. While a student there he won several awards, including that of first place in the open section of the Sydney Organ Competition. During this time, he was Organ Scholar at the University of Sydney, and at St James', King Street, where he was subsequently appointed Organist. Andrej is currently Assistant Director of Music at St John’s Cathedral, Brisbane, where he plays the organ for Cathedral services, assists with the training of the boy choristers, and directs the Girls’ Choir.
