Children’s storytime in the park - 166 Glen Holm St, Mitchelton.
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. Location: Sid Loder Park, 166 Glen Holm St, near Mitchelton library. On-street and park parking is available nearby.
Little Artist’s Eye Spy
Polish your peepers! You never know what you might spot. There is plenty for little eyes to spy with this free MoB Kids activity sheet. Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? This playful Museum experience will immerse you in all manners of local art, history and culture, encompassing five different exhibitions. Ask our friendly staff at MoB reception when you arrive. Bush Kindy
Discover, learn and connect with the natural wonders of the environment at Bush Kindy. Bush Kindy is for children aged 3-5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence and respect for the environment through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. Bush Kindy sessions can go for roughly 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes and activities vary each week. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, send an email. Booking requirements: Maximum 5 tickets. A ratio of 1 adult per 4 children is required. All adults and children (including infants) must have a ticket. As this event is popular and places limited, late arrival tickets will be forfeited to make way for available attendees. Please cancel online via Eventbrite if you cannot attend. Requirements on the day: Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site. Note: All outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Gathering: Blak : Story : Song
Gathering presents Blak : Story : Song. Blak : Story : Song is a concert series that promotes and engages intergenerational First Nations singer songwriters and our international indigenous allies. Co-curated by Deline Briscoe (Yalanji), a collective of artists present their songs in a stripped back, intimate setting that allows space for truth telling, deeper audience connection and inspired musical collaborations. Take a 1 hour journey with these songwriters, while they share their songwriting talent in all its raw honesty. Catch their set from 12noon to 1pm at the Queen Street Mall main stage. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tive Nations.
Seido Karate Classes for Adults & Teens
Our adult program offers classes at 6.30pm, three times a week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday). Our adult program includes students as young as 10 through to students as mature as 80+! The adult syllabus starts from 15 years old, with students learning the junior (children’s) syllabus up until this age. Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our green, brown and black belt students. Black belt classes are also run at 7.30pm on Monday and Thursday. Adults and teenagers learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and having the opportunity to socialise, meet and work out with like-minded individuals of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Welcome to Practical Wing Chun! We are the martial arts school in Brisbane. Wing Chun is a Kungfu well known for its close quarters combat. It was designed for the street environment where aggression occurs more often. Practical Wing Chun welcomes people of all ages, gender, race, religious beliefs, skill levels, and body types. We believe people of all walks of life should experience the benefits that martial arts offer.

Seido Karate Classes for Children
Our children’s program has classes at 5.30pm, three times per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday). The majority of students in our children’s program are 6-12 years old, but we have some children start as young as 4 or 5 and some parents who join in the class with their child(ren). Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our advanced yellow, green, and brown belt students. Children learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and learning to socialise and work with other children of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Bush Babies
Bring your little ones (aged 0–1) to Karawatha Forest and let them discover the magic of free play in nature. This relaxed, outdoor session introduces babies to the wonders of the bush while offering families a safe, welcoming space to connect with each other and their local reserve. Requirements: All babies must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a wide-brimmed hat, sun-smart clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed walking shoes, and insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch, as no food outlets are available on site. Note: Event may be cancelled on the day due to weather or environmental conditions.

Goldern Sunbird - The Planetarium Tour
Let all sense of space and time depart, as we teleport you through the cosmos... Strap in your seatbelts and prepare for a cosmic journey through space and time. Golden Sunbird take their multi sensory live planetarium show across Australia, presenting a unique performance that fuses original space-inspired rock music with immersive astronomical environments. This Lutruwita/Tasmanian psych rock outfit have repeatedly sold out Tasmanian Planetariums over the past 4 years. Immersing audiences with hypnotic guitar solo’s, interstellar space rock jams, wailing theremins and synth soaked walls of sound, intertwined with sci-fi narratives, space-age poetry and cosmic visuals. Taking inspiration from Pink Floyd, Hawkwind, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Tangerine Dream, Golden Sunbird creates soundscapes that explore the parallels between the unknowns of space and the depths of the human subconscious. The Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium’s Cosmic Skydome features a 18m dome and reclining seats - the perfect location for a celestial journey.
