Community Immunisation Clinic - Wooloowin
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at Immunisation Schedule Queensland for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver Brisbane Vision 2031.

Artist in Residence: Martin Edge
Queensland artist Martin Edge brings his playful, joy‑filled world to the Fairfax Gallery for his Artist in Residence project. Known for his vibrant scenes inspired by everyday life, from seaside moments and city adventures to his much‑loved CityCat journeys, Edge blends memory and imagination into colourful, whimsical compositions. Across three weeks, Edge will create a large‑scale mural directly onto the gallery walls, offering visitors a rare opportunity to watch his process in action and chat with him as the work evolves. Featuring bright colours, bold geometric forms and iconic Brisbane landmarks, the finished artwork will present two lively scenes of Brisbane City in Edge’s distinctive style. Artist in Residence: Renee Kire
Step inside an exciting new residency project that invites you to experience art in unexpected ways. Artist in Residence Renee Kire takes over Museum of Brisbane’s entryway, transforming these spaces with a vibrant and dynamic mix of striking vinyl graphics and sculptural timber elements. These features create an immersive pathway that stretches across walls and ceilings, guiding you into the heart of the Museum. Drawing inspiration from Minimalism while reinterpreting the movement through a contemporary feminist lens, Kire brings fresh attention to the often-overlooked contributions of women in the field. Bright, colourful and welcoming for all visitors, the artwork is both joyful and thought-provoking. Responding directly to the architecture of the Museum, City Hall and the Brisbane cityscape, Kire’s design reveals unexpected connections between the built environment and abstract form. Warrajamba
Follow the mermaid in the bay. Dive into story, culture and hands-on creativity with our latest Artist in Residence, Quandamooka artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins. Journey alongside Delvene to the shores of Minjerribah and discover the ancestral story of Warrajamba, the mermaid, a living cultural legacy that Delvene continues to explore as she searches for its lost ending. Get hands-on and create your own mermaid or dugong using artist-designed stamps, connecting with the stories of Warrajamba and Yungong, the dugong. Discover Delvene’s powerful sculptural work made from materials gathered from Country - yungair/yungaire (freshwater reed), talwalpin (beach hibiscus cotton tree), and quampie shell. Come and be immersed in a space that celebrates care for land, sea and story. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC. Little Explorers: Batty bush walk (6 years+)
Join a fun guided walk to visit some of our resident bats and learn some amazing facts about these winged wildlife heroes. These quiet (and not-so-quiet) achievers are crucial to the health of forests, making all bats ecological powerhouses! There will be giveaway take-home crafts for children and some tips on easy ways we all can help bats with their struggle to survive. Less than 1 km on easy walking paths. After the activity, visit the environment centre and explore the beautiful natural surroundings of the bushland reserve. Requirements on the day: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre.All children must be directly supervised by an adult.All participants must wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, sunscreen, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), and bring insect repellent.Bring water and a snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This event will go ahead in light rain. School holiday activity - NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC week celebrates the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Join Sue and Duane at a grounded table of art materials and leaves. Paint a leaf and add it to a crown or wristband. Duane will quietly entertain with his didge sounds and stories of gum trees and their animals. You can also join the Education Team to taste test some bush food flavours. Learn the ins and outs of making bracelets from native fibres and sharpen your coordination skills with some traditional Indigenous games that have been played in Australia for many thousands of years. Bring a picnic blanket and lunch to enjoy on our grassy lawn. Location: Meet at the Auditorium lawn. Note: Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult. For more information, send an email.
Explore mini beasts with Virtual Reality
**The date and time of this event have changed from 10.30-11.30am on 9 July to 10-11am on 7 July.** Join us as we explore the fascinating world of mini beasts and discover the vital roles they play in our environment - from pollination to decomposition - along with their hidden talents! Experience a garden from an ant’s perspective, observe bugs in action as they carry out their important ecological duties, and discover how we can all help take care of our environment. Requirements on the day: Arrive 10 minutes before the start of the event to check in at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre.All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult.Bring drinking water and a snack or picnic lunch as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This event is held indoors.
Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Perfect Little Planet
Children will love this tour of the Solar System through the eyes of a family of aliens on vacation from another star system. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. This show contains some sudden sound effects, fast moving scenes and flashing light sequences.

Join our wildlife expert for an engaging and immersive session in nature, where you'll meet your wild neighbours and some of Brisbane's most iconic animals. Discover what makes them special, how they live, and the vital role they play in our ecosystems. Your actions matter. By learning more about our native species, you’ll be empowered to make simple changes — like planting native vegetation or keeping pets indoors at night. These actions help protect our incredible biodiversity and ensure our wildlife neighbours continue to thrive. Booking requirements:All adults and children require a ticket. Passport to the Universe
Get your passport for a thrilling journey through the Solar System, out of the Milky Way Galaxy and to the edge of the observable universe, returning home via a black hole. Narrated by Tom Hanks. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. Passport to the Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Major support for new version provided by the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco.
Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts - Christopher Wrench
Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents Christopher Wrench. Internationally acclaimed Brisbane organist, Christopher Wrench playing the iconic Father Henry Willis Organ. As one of Australia's most respected organists, Christopher Wrench has performed at numerous festivals and annual international tours all over the world. Christopher is currently Director of Music at Christ Church St Lucia, Chapel Music Director at St John's College (University of Queensland), and a member of the Brisbane City Council 'Willis Organ Advisory Committee'. This Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert is produced by Evolution Productions.
Visible Ink takeover the QSM Stage featuring Evey Alexander: NAIDOC Edition
Evey Alexander is a young indigenous acoustic guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. She shows her passion for music through live performances in a multitude of different spaces, adapting her sound to the vibe of the venue ensuring that her performances are enjoyable every time. This performance is in celebration of NAIDOC Week 2026! Evey will be performing on the Main Stage of the Queen Street Mall at 12-12.30pm and 1-1.30pm.
