Agents of Discovery - Explore Karawatha Forest
Become a Nature Agent and connect with Karawatha Forest in a whole new way! Step into the forest and accept your mission! Drop in anytime between 9am and 4pm and Join Agent Tree Frog on a self-guided digital adventure through Karawatha Forest designed especially for families. Through interactive challenges and location-based play, you explorers will uncover hidden discoveries and learn about Brisbane's unique forest habitats along the way. To get started, simply download the free Agents of Discovery app on a mobile phone or iPad before you arrive. The app is available on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Requirements: Mission can be completed, at your own pace All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Please wear a wide-brimmed hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Bring drinking water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.
2026 Brisbane Roller Sports Showcase
A free public event designed to introduce families, kids, and curious first-timers to the exciting world of roller sports! Enjoy live demonstrations from a variety of roller sports, meet local clubs and athletes, and learn how people of all ages and experience levels can get involved - from recreational skating and beginner programs through to competitive pathways. You’ll be surprised by the range of sports, skills, and opportunities that exist on wheels! MoB Kids: Remix your Brissy
Build your own Brisbane! Plan your cityscape using paper pieces by Artist in Residence, Martin Edge. Kids can cut, remix and twist together iconic drawings to invent a brand-new city bursting with colour and imagination. Warrajamba
Follow the mermaid in the bay. Dive into story, culture and hands-on creativity with our latest Artist in Residence, Quandamooka artist Delvene Cockatoo-Collins. Journey alongside Delvene to the shores of Minjerribah and discover the ancestral story of Warrajamba, the mermaid, a living cultural legacy that Delvene continues to explore as she searches for its lost ending. Get hands-on and create your own mermaid or dugong using artist-designed stamps, connecting with the stories of Warrajamba and Yungong, the dugong. Discover Delvene’s powerful sculptural work made from materials gathered from Country - yungair/yungaire (freshwater reed), talwalpin (beach hibiscus cotton tree), and quampie shell. Come and be immersed in a space that celebrates care for land, sea and story. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC. Artist in Residence: Martin Edge
Queensland artist Martin Edge brings his playful, joy‑filled world to the Fairfax Gallery for his Artist in Residence project. Known for his vibrant scenes inspired by everyday life, from seaside moments and city adventures to his much‑loved CityCat journeys, Edge blends memory and imagination into colourful, whimsical compositions. Across three weeks, Edge will create a large‑scale mural directly onto the gallery walls, offering visitors a rare opportunity to watch his process in action and chat with him as the work evolves. Featuring bright colours, bold geometric forms and iconic Brisbane landmarks, the finished artwork will present two lively scenes of Brisbane City in Edge’s distinctive style. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC. Martin Edge’s Residency is supported by The Culture Crusader. Artist in Residence: Renee Kire
Step inside an exciting new residency project that invites you to experience art in unexpected ways. Artist in Residence Renee Kire takes over Museum of Brisbane’s entryway, transforming these spaces with a vibrant and dynamic mix of striking vinyl graphics and sculptural timber elements. These features create an immersive pathway that stretches across walls and ceilings, guiding you into the heart of the Museum. Drawing inspiration from Minimalism while reinterpreting the movement through a contemporary feminist lens, Kire brings fresh attention to the often-overlooked contributions of women in the field. Bright, colourful and welcoming for all visitors, the artwork is both joyful and thought-provoking. Responding directly to the architecture of the Museum, City Hall and the Brisbane cityscape, Kire’s design reveals unexpected connections between the built environment and abstract form. Polish your peepers! You never know what you might spot. There is plenty for little eyes to spy with this free MoB Kids activity sheet. Yaggara Kakka Brisbane NAIDOC 2026
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across our city and Australia during the month of July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Passport to the Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Dating Disasters - Wynnum Fringe
Dating Disasters is about the many misgivings of momentous meetings, raunchy rendezvous and cataclysmic love affairs that happen when we attempt to date. It is a verbatim cabaret, that features anonymous stories gathered from our audience and weaved with like-a-version music and tales from my own experiences of the dating world. Dating is something that all adults typically endure and usually have an experience worth forgetting – or is it?! Join Bea as she proves that she isn’t a psychotic stalker, but simply an emotional being who needs her feelings requited. Will she find the meaning of healthy relationships and also true love? Community Immunisation Clinic - Bracken Ridge
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus.
