Ella Hartwig at RG's
Join us to enjoy Ella Hartwig at RG's in Brunswick Street Mall. From Country Nights to City Lights From remote Cape York to festival stages across Australia, Ella Hartwig is making her mark in the country/folk scene. Songs she wrote at just thirteen later earned her Queensland Music Award nominations, setting the tone for her debut album Take Me South. The exclusive physical-only debut sold out on her National Tour and is now available digitally due to high demand. The deluxe digital album now includes a brand-new fan-inspired song written from online comments. A graduate of the Australian Academy of Country Music and finalist in Brisbane City Council’s QUBE Effect, Ella has performed on major stages, including Savannah in the Round 2025, and her breakout single on finding herself, Western Star, continues to resonate nationwide. Ella first emerged onto the Australian folk festival scene at age fourteen, and has since completed her debut self-managed tour down the East Coast of Queensland. Celebrating Country and Culture through the bold designs of Magpie Goose. Museum of Brisbane is excited to collaborate with Magpie Goose, a proudly Aboriginal owned and led fashion and social enterprise, to celebrate extraordinary First Nations cultural stories and designs. This exclusive to Brisbane exhibition, developed in close collaboration with Magpie Goose owners Amanda Hayman (Wakka Wakka and Kalkadoon) and Troy Casey (Kamilaroi), offers a deep dive into the work of some of the region’s most talented First Nations artists and designers. Using clothing as a canvas for storytelling, this exciting collaboration will connect audiences with the rich and diverse cultural expressions of First Nations communities in Queensland and beyond. The Party - Tiny Stages Series
A whimsical show for infants and toddlers. Sweetie the Swamp Wallaby is getting ready for a big surprise, her joey is about to emerge from her pouch. Luckily, she has her friends Edna the Echidna and Maggie the Magpie to help her prepare. Come join the animals of the forest to get ready for The Party! “Very thoughtful and beautiful. This is an aquatic workout that uses all major muscle groups. Participants wear a buoyancy belt so there's no need to worry about being in deep water however you do require basic swimming skills. Classes will be held in the outdoor 50m pool. You must bring your own buoyancy belt for this class.
