Bookings essential. Nature Moves: Leap, stretch, twist, and run! Kids will move like the wind and the trees, using their bodies to create stories, play games, and explore the outdoors as a stage. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 5-14 years.
Passport to the Universe
Get your passport for a thrilling journey through the Solar System, out of the Milky Way Galaxy and to the edge of the observable universe, returning home via a black hole. Narrated by Tom Hanks. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. Passport to the Universe was developed by the American Museum of Natural History, New York in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Major support for new version provided by the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco.
Community Immunisation Clinic - Carindale
Brisbane City Council provides free vaccinations to eligible residents (aged from 6 weeks and above) through our community immunisation clinics. Immunisation helps protect people against diseases such as influenza, measles, whooping cough, polio and tetanus. Take a look at Immunisation Schedule Queensland for advice about when you should be vaccinated. Providing a free immunisation service is another way Council is helping deliver Brisbane Vision 2031.

Perfect Little Planet
Children will love this tour of the Solar System through the eyes of a family of aliens on vacation from another star system. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. This show contains some sudden sound effects, fast moving scenes and flashing light sequences.

Bookings essential. Come and play ball games, brave the obstacle courses and relays, enjoy sack and egg and spoon races, participate in drama based interactive games and much more! This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 7-17 years.
Encounters in the Milky Way
Discover the chance encounters that have shaped our place in the universe. Narrated by Pedro Pascal, Encounters in the Milky Way is a time-traveling journey about the cosmic movements that shape our galactic neighborhood. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. Encounters in the Milky Way was developed by the American Museum of Natural History (amnh.org) with the major support and partnership of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Dragon boating
Bookings essential. Have fun learning how to paddle in a 12m dragon boat and see the city from a different perspective. Session includes a warm-up, paddling instruction and time on the water. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 10-17 years.
The Dark Side of the Moon
Experience Pink Floyd's iconic album with this immersive and all-encompassing surround sound and visual treat. This show features strobe effects, mature themes and explicit language. Not recommended for children.

Dating Disasters - Wynnum Fringe
Dating Disasters is about the many misgivings of momentous meetings, raunchy rendezvous and cataclysmic love affairs that happen when we attempt to date. It is a verbatim cabaret, that features anonymous stories gathered from our audience and weaved with like-a-version music and tales from my own experiences of the dating world. Dating is something that all adults typically endure and usually have an experience worth forgetting – or is it?! Join Bea as she proves that she isn’t a psychotic stalker, but simply an emotional being who needs her feelings requited. Will she find the meaning of healthy relationships and also true love? This hilarious cabaret illustrates how love can go wrong and the way to survive it! Wynnum Fringe is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

Discipline for Taekwondo & Korean Sword Art. Tae Kwon Do is one of the most systematic and powerful Korean Martial Arts. It uses offence and defence techniques with all parts of the human body while hands and feet play key roles in the techniques. Seido Karate Classes for Children
Our children’s program has classes at 5.30pm, three times per week (Monday, Thursday & Friday). The majority of students in our children’s program are 6-12 years old, but we have some children start as young as 4 or 5 and some parents who join in the class with their child(ren). Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our advanced yellow, green, and brown belt students. Children learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and learning to socialise and work with other children of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Seido Karate Classes for Adults & Teens
Our adult program offers classes at 6.30pm, three times a week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday). Our adult program includes students as young as 10 through to students as mature as 80+! The adult syllabus starts from 15 years old, with students learning the junior (children’s) syllabus up until this age. Our classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced students. On Monday and Thursday, an advanced class is run simultaneously for our green, brown and black belt students. Black belt classes are also run at 7.30pm on Monday and Thursday. Adults and teenagers learn discipline, focus, confidence, strength and humility as well as being active and having the opportunity to socialise, meet and work out with like-minded individuals of various ages, abilities and backgrounds.

Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Walk times: Walks depart at 11am and 1pm, Monday to Saturday. Walk duration: Walks last about one hour and are taken at a gentle pace. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Museum of Brisbane is excited to collaborate with Magpie Goose, a proudly Aboriginal owned and led fashion and social enterprise, to celebrate extraordinary First Nations cultural stories and designs. This exclusive to Brisbane exhibition, developed in close collaboration with Magpie Goose owners Amanda Hayman (Wakka Wakka and Kalkadoon) and Troy Casey (Kamilaroi), offers a deep dive into the work of some of the region’s most talented First Nations artists and designers. Using clothing as a canvas for storytelling, this exciting collaboration will connect audiences with the rich and diverse cultural expressions of First Nations communities in Queensland and beyond. NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across our city and Australia during the month of July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Indigenous communities, but by Australians from all walks of life. The week is a great opportunity to participate in a range of activities and to support your local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Children’s storytime in the park - Frew Park, Milton
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government. Location: On site parking available off Frew Street. Session is held at playground.
