Free guided tour - City Botanic Gardens
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Designed to improve mobility, coordination, and flexibility, these low-impact, accessible sessions are ideal for adults with limited mobility, injury recovery, or anyone preferring seated exercise. This is a GOLD program suitable for seniors.
Kick start kids
Bookings essential. An introduction to the joy of movement, teamwork, and play through age-appropriate, non-competitive soccer-style games. Sessions are delivered in a safe, welcoming environment using simplified rules, colourful equipment, and imaginative play scenarios that support physical development, coordination, and social connection

Artist in Residence Renee Kire takes over Museum of Brisbane’s entryway, transforming these spaces with a vibrant and dynamic mix of striking vinyl graphics and sculptural timber elements. These features create an immersive pathway that stretches across walls and ceilings, guiding you into the heart of the Museum. Drawing inspiration from Minimalism while reinterpreting the movement through a contemporary feminist lens, Kire brings fresh attention to the often-overlooked contributions of women in the field. Bright, colourful and welcoming for all visitors, the artwork is both joyful and thought-provoking. Responding directly to the architecture of the Museum, City Hall and the Brisbane cityscape, Kire’s design reveals unexpected connections between the built environment and abstract form. Repetition, rhythm and thoughtful details invite you to slow down, look closely and discover new perspectives. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC.
