It's designed to develop fundamental soccer skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork, while also emphasising the importance of sportsmanship and fair play. Pickleball for young people
Bookings essential. Discover Pickleball, the addictive game with the funny name. It's a paddle sport you can learn in minutes and play for a lifetime. Enjoy elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis in one sport that's fun for all ages and skill levels. It easy to play and low impact. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 10-17 years.
Volunteer Bushcare Working Bee - McDowall Bushcare Group
Join other like-minded volunteers to help protect and restore Brisbane’s unique biodiversity through our Habitat Brisbane program. Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you! Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projects. The McDowall Bushcare Group meet every Tuesday from 8.30-11.30am.

Artist in Residence: Gerwyn Davies
Leading contemporary artist Gerwyn Davies presents a series of striking photographic portraits developed in collaboration with trans and gender-diverse young people from Open Doors Youth Service. Each vivid image features a handcrafted sculptural costume, allowing the wearer to represent themselves in spectacular ways while simultaneously retaining their anonymity. Together, the works celebrate self-expression, resilience, and the power of chosen visibility. MoB’s Artist in Residence program is supported by Tim Fairfax AC. Presented by Museum of Brisbane in partnership with MELT Festival, Brisbane Powerhouse. What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own. Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. See if you can catch a glimpse of the bells! Make a booking online today to secure your spot! Spaces are limited and fill up quickly. Start your own business: Digital steps to growth from idea to launch
Starting your own business is a dream for many Australians. But how do you make the best start? This hands-on, practical workshop designed to guide aspiring entrepreneurs through the essential steps of turning their business idea into a launched venture. This hands-on, no-fluff workshop will help you learn time-saving ways to create content for market awareness, social media, and to drive leads. This workshop will cover: Introduction: Becoming a founder Validating your idea: competitors and market potential Launch set up essentials – structure and launch planning Brand development and marketing strategy Mindset – tips to stay on course Wrap-up and action planning. By the end of this workshop, you’ll walk away with a roadmap and action plan to get started. About the presenter: Corrie Dark Corrie has over 20 years' experience in digital and technology, developing strategies for globally-recognised brands. Her knowledge extends from topline customer targeting, marketing, social media and online sales. Her focus is on finding the most effective strategies for businesses to ensure time is spent wisely in the most channels. Corrie runs an AI Strategy and Education business and is a judge for this year’s APAC Women in AI awards. This workshop is presented by the Digital Solutions Program in partnership with Brisbane City Council. Free guided tour - City Botanic Gardens
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
