Live music recording sessions
Are you a solo artist or group looking for more performance opportunities?Come to the Visible Ink Youth Hub, where we can produce and record sound and/or video of your performance, to share on your socials or submit to venues and festivals.This is a youth space and sessions are for people between the ages of 12 and 25.Register your interest to book a session!
Paddington song birds
Come along and join our relaxed community group where singers and ukulele players come together for fun. We enjoy songs from the 1960s-70s. The group is hosted by Grace, a local Paddington volunteer who loves sharing her passion for music and singing. This year, the Festival moves with the rhythm of Brisbane itself. From gentle tides to stormy swells, this concert captures the ever-shifting moods of the sea.Opening with a delightful Debussy favourite, Petite Suite, Australian pianist Stefan Cassomenos then brings warmth and wit in Shostakovich's Piano Concerto No.2, a personal gift to his son that shows his more playful side.Australian composer Paul Stanhope offers a contemporary response to the sea with Ocean Planet, a powerful reflection on the beauty and fragility of our oceans.At the heart of this concert is Debussy's La Mer, a vivid portrait of water in motion inspired by Monet's seascapes and The Great Wave off Kanagawa.Let the tides of music wash over you in this stunning concert.Queensland Symphony Orchestra is proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.

Shree Krishna Janmasthami 2026

Bands in Parks: Father's Day at City Hall
Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane City Hall.The Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra takes to the stage with a blockbuster program of light classics and movie themes.There will be afternoon tea and scones available for purchase as well as wine and cheese packs. The concert is free but if you would like to sit and sip with a glass of wine and cheese plate, or enjoy afternoon tea and cake, then it's just $12 per person. As a Father's Day special, you'll also be able to purchase a Father's Day Pie Plate with classic steak and Guinness pies, mash, mushy peas and Beer.Bookings are essential for the Father's Day special and High Stand. Brisbane City Council proudly presents a special series of Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts for Brisbane Festival - David Bailey Silent Movies.Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Buster Keaton's classic railroad comedy The General, organist David Bailey performs his original score live to accompany the film. The famous heritage-listed Willis pipe organ at Brisbane City Hall is undoubtedly Brisbane's most historic and recognised musical instrument. Bands in Parks performs at Queensland Maritime Museum Park.Kick back and watch the sunset over the Brisbane River from this beautiful vantage point near the Goodwill Bridge. Before the city warms up to Friday evening, take some time to enjoy big band jazz after work at the Maritime Museum with music by Brass Roots Live.Please note: Entry is alongside the Maritime Museum Ferry terminal, via Dock Street. The main Museum entry is closed on Friday Nights. There are no BYO food or drinks at this venue. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
