Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Children’s storytime in the park - Dorrington Park, Ashgrove
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.
Alliance Francaise French Film Festival
The Alliance Française French Film Festival returns to Brisbane, presenting a rich and diverse celebration of French-language cinema. The festival brings a curated programme of feature films from France and the Francophone world, screening in original French with English subtitles. Over the season, audiences can experience a wide range of genres including contemporary dramas, comedies, documentaries and classics, reflecting the creativity and vitality of French cinema. Highlight events in Brisbane include the Opening Night Gala, themed CinéWine sessions with a glass of French wine on arrival, a family-friendly Ciné-Croissant screening with refreshments included, and the Closing Night presentation. The festival is part of a national season running across Australia that showcases exceptional films and special events designed to engage cinema lovers with the culture, storytelling and cinematic traditions of France.
