What will you collect? Welcome to Micro Museum – a space for telling stories through objects. You are invited to explore the fascinating world of collecting, and uncover the memories that objects hold. Inspired by major exhibition Precious in this space you are the curator. You can select, sort and arrange a wide array of items, many of which are second-hand or vintage. Each object holds memories, and now you can create your own. Transform your Museum visit into an exciting game of Eye Spy and discover details you might otherwise have missed. Can you spot the flowers? Perfect Little Planet
Children will love this tour of the Solar System through the eyes of a family of aliens on vacation from another star system. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. This show contains some sudden sound effects, fast moving scenes and flashing light sequences.
Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Tycho Goes to Mars
Our favourite cheeky dog is blasting off to discover the red planet, Mars. Tycho is in search of water to fly his steam-powered space kennel back home. But how will he find water on Mars? Produced by Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks, Museums Victoria. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.
Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs - The Wild Robot
Enjoy the magic of the movies with The Wild Robot at your local park. The film will start shortly after sundown, so get in early to secure your spot. Take along chairs or a blanket, snacks or purchase from our vendors. This movie screening will have subtitles. This event is pet friendly! Please make sure to keep your furry friends on a leash if you bring them along. Bands in Parks performance by Rivercity Steel Band and Mini Rivers Band from 5:15pm. Movie screening from 6:45pm.
Bands in Parks: Music on the Green
Bands in Parks performs at Lanham Park. Musical Chairs Jazz Band will bring their unique sounds to the Bands in Parks program. Invite family and friends for an afternoon on the green. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Wings Across the Globe - Shorebird Adventure
Ever wondered about the amazing birds you see along the water’s edge? Join us for a fun, family-friendly session where curiosity takes flight! Through hands-on activities and creative play, we’ll explore the wonderful world of shorebirds – how they live, what makes them special, and why our wetlands are so important to them. Take part in an interactive activity that brings these remarkable birds to life. Afterwards, explore the centre’s interactive displays or take a walk around the wetlands to see if you can spot some real-life feathered friends! Important information before you register: Suitable for ages 7-12 years. All adults and children attending require a ticket for this event. Maximum of 5 people per booking. Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout, with a ratio of 1 adult supervising up to a maximum of 4 children. If you cannot attend, please cancel your booking online via Eventbrite.On the day of the event: Please arrive 10 minutes before the starting time to check in with environment centre staff. Wear sun-safe clothing, sunscreen and enclosed shoes. Bring water and snack if required as there are no food outlets on site.Note: This event will go ahead in light rain - events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.

Bands in Parks: Voices - Celebrate International Women's Day
Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane City Hall. Join Queensland Wind and Brass in a vibrant International Women’s Day concert celebrating women who create, lead and inspire through music. Conducted by Alisa Jones, this uplifting program features the world premiere of a new work by acclaimed Australian composer Kara Williams, alongside much-loved favourites from Annie, Wicked and Disney, as well as evocative works including My Dearest Jane and Aurora Borealis. Bold, heartfelt and joyful, Voices honours women’s voices in all their strength and diversity, on stage, behind the scenes and in the stories that continue to shape us. The concert is free but if you would like to sit and sip with a glass of wine and cheese plate, or enjoy afternoon tea and cake, then it’s just $12 per person. Make it an afternoon out - invite family and friends for an afternoon at City Hall.

Bush Kindy is for children aged 3 - 5 years, alongside their parents and carers. Be immersed in the natural surroundings of the reserve as children build nature confidence and respect for the environment through bushwalks, exploration, story-time, art 'n' craft and much more. Bush Kindy sessions can go for roughly 45 minutes and will go ahead in light rain. Themes and activities vary each week. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, email KFDC@brisbane.qld.gov.auRequirements: Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre. All children must be accompanied and directly supervised by an adult. Wear a hat, sun-safe clothing, fully enclosed walking shoes (no thongs or open shoes please), sunscreen, and bring insect repellent. Suitable old clothes recommended for messy play. Water and a snack if required, as there are no food outlets on site.Note: All outdoor events are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
