But how will he find water on Mars?Produced by Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks, Museums Victoria.Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.
Spooktakular Saturday
Spooktakular Saturday is a family friendly fun Halloween event with entertainment, activities, pop up engagements, food trucks, free face painting, live music and fabulous Halloween photo ops and costume competitions! The event concludes with a fun disco for the whole family.
Bands in Parks: Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs
Bands in Parks performs at Broadwater Picnic Ground Park.As the sun goes down, local parks are transformed into outdoor cinemas with food stalls, fun activities and live music from South Brisbane Federal Band. Pack a blanket, get together with family and friends, and make the most of our beautiful climate and greenspaces.Location: Broadwater Picnic Ground Park, Mansfield.
Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs - Goat
Enjoy the magic of the movies with Goat at your local park. The film will start shortly after sundown, so get in early to secure your spot. Take along chairs or a blanket, snacks or purchase from our vendors. This movie screening will have subtitles. This event is pet friendly! Please make sure to keep your furry friends on a leash if you bring them along.
SCADaddle for research
Join us to raise much-needed money for ground-breaking Australian medical research to beat SCAD heart attacks. PLUS the first 400 adults to register will receive a free SCAD t-shirt with thanks to the QANTAS Side-by-Side grant!Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) causes heart attacks and sudden cardiac arrest in healthy, fit adults and is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under 50 and new mums.We're walking to find answers and save lives.
Sherwood Arboretum guided walk
Sherwood Arboretum, established in 1925, is Brisbane's only botanic garden dedicated exclusively to growing Australian native trees. The Arboretum holds scientific and cultural values with many of the original plantings undertaken by prominent citizens of Brisbane.The guided walk will be led by the Volunteer Guides of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha and the Friends of Sherwood Arboretum. Requirements: Wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Meeting point: Meet at the shelter adjacent to the main carpark off Jolimont Street, Sherwood. Age: Open to all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
