RQAS is starting 2026 with a Splash! The coasts and waterways are extremely valuable to all in Southeast Queensland and this exhibition allows everyone to celebrate all things nautical and aquatic. Whether it be the local estuaries’, the coast, boats in a marina, the backyard pool, or something else related to water, artists will be making a splash with water-themed artwork. Museum of Brisbane is excited to collaborate with Magpie Goose, a proudly Aboriginal owned and led fashion and social enterprise, to celebrate extraordinary First Nations cultural stories and designs. This exclusive to Brisbane exhibition, developed in close collaboration with Magpie Goose owners Amanda Hayman (Wakka Wakka and Kalkadoon) and Troy Casey (Kamilaroi), offers a deep dive into the work of some of the region’s most talented First Nations artists and designers.
