Connect with nature: Guided forest therapy

Connect with nature: Guided forest therapy

Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre

About This Event

This small-group program offers a gentle and accessible way to connect with Brisbane’s natural areas. Led by a qualified Forest Therapy guide, the session includes a series of simple sensory and mindfulness-based activities, quiet walking, and opportunities for personal reflection. You’ll be invited to engage with the natural environment at your own pace - there is no bushwalking experience or fitness level required. Forest Therapy has been shown to support wellbeing, reduce stress and strengthen our connection to nature and community. The session concludes with a shared tea ceremony and time for conversation. Requirements on the day: Arrive minimum 10 minutes early to check in with staff at the centre.Wear a hat and sun protection, fully enclosed walking shoes, an extra warm layer of clothing, a raincoat / umbrella if the weather is inclement and bring insect repellent. No food outlets onsite so bring a snack if required.Bring a water bottle and something to sit on (lightweight chair / towel / small mat) if required.Note: This activity will go ahead in light rain. Activities are subject to weather and environmental conditions and may be cancelled on the day.
