School holiday activity - NAIDOC Week
NAIDOC week celebrates the history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Accompany 'Batjala man Uncle Bruce Phillips from MURRI TUKKA' on a walk and explore the ways in which Indigenous people used native plants for food, medicine and toolmaking. You can also join the Education Team to taste test some bush food flavours. Learn the ins and outs of making bracelets from native fibres and sharpen your coordination skills with some traditional Indigenous games that have been played in Australia for many thousands of years. Bring a picnic blanket and lunch to enjoy on our grassy lawn. Location: Meet at the Auditorium lawn. Note: Children under 16 are to be accompanied by an adult. For more information, send an email.
Aqua fitness for seniors and children
Bookings essential. Get ready to splash, move, and groove to upbeat music while improving your overall fitness and having a blast with friends. This dynamic class incorporates a variety of cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises tailored to suit seniors and children. Participants should be confident in shallow water. Bookings essential. Nature Moves: Leap, stretch, twist, and run! Kids will move like the wind and the trees, using their bodies to create stories, play games, and explore the outdoors as a stage. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 5-14 years.
The Great Beach Adventure
A joyful, imagination-powered escapade for children aged 3–10 and their grown-ups. When two best friends decide it’s beach day, their living room transforms into a world of waves, pirates, sea creatures, and sun-soaked silliness. ACTivate fun and games
Bookings essential. Come and play ball games, brave the obstacle courses and relays, enjoy sack and egg and spoon races, participate in drama based interactive games and much more! This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 7-17 years.
Dragon boating
Bookings essential. Have fun learning how to paddle in a 12m dragon boat and see the city from a different perspective. Session includes a warm-up, paddling instruction and time on the water. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 10-17 years.
Basketball skills and drills
Bookings essential. Skill development and fun games with fundamental basketball skills, drills and 3x3 action. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 6-17 years.
Junior run squad
Come and try running with fully accredited coaches. Learn techniques that will help you run stronger and smarter. These sessions focus on technique, speed, endurance and fun. All levels welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the session. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 8-17 years.
Creature kids
Bookings essential. This is a fun, high-energy outdoor program blending movement, drama, fitness, and beginner circus skills into one action-packed adventure. This is a Chillout event suitable for young people 5-14 years.
Wheely Fun
Riding's more fun on two wheels - in just one session our friendly trainer will help your young one make the transition from training wheels to two wheels, and provide some tips for how you can keep encouraging them. Presented as part of Council’s Cycling Brisbane program.

MoB Kids: City Sculptures
Build, balance and create. Kids can design and construct their own 3D geometric sculptures of Brisbane’s cityscape and unique architecture. Using colourful shapes and textured elements inspired by Artist in Residence, Renee Kire, little makers can experiment with balance, structure and form while bringing their creative ideas to life.
